Using Air Knives for Heating

If your products’ drying performance can be enhanced by raising the temperature of the air applied to the product consider using a heat-enhanced air knife solution.  You can prolong or reduce cure time by using an air knife equipped with a heater.  The heat can be controlled to provide a fixed temperature or be adjustable from just a few degrees above room temperature up to 1000°F.

Heated air knife applications include: Curing Ink or Coatingings , Food Processing, Bag Opening, Maintaining glued surface temperature until application is complete, and Heat Release.

Many heating applications can be done at low velocities of 4,000 to 8,000 fpm.  At the low pressures associated with these velocities, blower typically put out their maximum air flow.  Heat can also be added to systems operating at high velocities.
